The Girls......

Hey there everyone! Meet Gracie May and Nikita, the next door neighbor dogs........Gracie May is the German Shepard/Collie mix and Nikita is....the other one. I can't remember what she is? Husky? Neighbor Pam is on the ladder painting the trim.

These two babies have changed our lives. Zuddy used to hate dogs due to an unfortunate encounter as a child. I don't want to say he was frightened of dogs, but - well? He was. Totally.

So was the Noodle. But now we're all madly in love with these girls. They are so sweet, but they're very protective. They're also smart - especially Gracie May. She is unbelieveable. Since she is part Collie, she tends to "corral" anyone (i.e. their cat, Homer) to where she thinks they should be. It's hilarious to see her "work". Zuddy went over there the other night to shut off all the lights that I left on, and Gracie tried to corral him to one of the upstairs bedrooms for a slumber party. She has this stuffed shark that she grabbed and then she motioned for him to come on up and "get his sleep on"!

Anyway, I'll get Pam's permission to photo the inside of their house sometime. She's painted the the living, dining and sunrooms really pretty colors. The rest of the house is still a work in progress - the previous owner did some bad, bad things. Mostly to the kitchen and the walls and wood work upstairs.

Other than that? I've got nothing. Nothing interesting to say at all....I'm looking for a new house tour for y'all, though. Actually, there's a great house in my 'hood that I've always admired.....I'll get all the photos to that one and post it tomorrow!

How is everyone doing out there? Somebody must have something interesting to say :)

I'm not a dog lover, but those two look like they'd be great neighbor dogs!

Things are dull here, too. February is just blah!

yo babe, Im glad you love your new friends, me-- not so much. Big doggies scare me. My cousin got bit by a Germy when we were probably 10 or so, I still see that dog takin a big ol bite out of her leg. I thought he killed her. FRITZ killed Marcy!!! I was screaming, running to the house... Fritz, havent thought of that for a long time. Marcy still has a huge hole in her leg from that one encounter. But, go.. have fun with your friends! Ill talk to ya later..I do, however, want your opinion at my blog..now go!

It seems like everyone is on hiatis (sp?)..but I am here dahling. I haven't posted in a few days, but I did manage to get my living room/family room furniture swapped yesterday due to a snow day and having lots of muscle around. I can at least knock one job off of my list! Hope all is well!

You should all know, Martha, with a dogless house, has a jar of doggie treats by the front door for her four-footed friends. I have two big dogs (Golden Retreiver Eddie and Border Collie Tippy). So I have two big dogs worth of dirt, hair and wear in my house. Martha has none of that and her house is spic and span. By the way--about pet names. My husband named Eddie. Eddie is a character on the TV show Absolutely Fabulous, which I was obsessed with when we adopted our puppy. The character's name is Edina. It was originally Edwina, but she is a vain aging hipster and changed it later in life. So our dog's full name is Edwina, of course. Perhaps now that she is an aging hipster dog she thinks of herself as Edina. She hasn't mentioned this, so Edwina stays. Whew, complicated. I named Tippy because her tail has a white tip. I'm so shallow.

AbFab is one of my favorite shows. Kris calls me Bubble sometimes, which isn't exactly a compliment, I guess, but I love it.

Martha, I appreciate the encouragement to start a blog, but 80% of my life stories right now are strongly protected by HIPAA laws. I'm perfectly content to stalk other people's blogs!
