Plans.....
The wallpaper - close-up:
Ballard Designs
Another shot:

Possibilities for window coverings:
Smith and Noble
Smith and Noble
Not sure when we'll be able to do the floors, so I'm thinking about a rug to cover it all up for a bit.
This one is polypropolene from Dash and Albert. You can just take it outside and hose it off when it gets dirty!

Wish I could say the same for my Zuddy.....

Okay.
Nothing Zuddy or I have done this week will be noticeable to any of you - I'm sure of it.
You see - Zuddy's been patching all of the holes he made while installing the under-cabinet lighting *cough-coughtwoyearsagocough-cough*.
He's almost done, though! Woo Hoo! Zuddy!!
I have a hole to patch as well.....wanna see it?

That bottom hole needs to be filled in.
I'm going to get a wooden dowel approximately the size of the hole to fill it and then I'll throw some wood filler in there, let it dry and then sand and paint it.
Today I scrubbed some nubbins of wallpaper off from the walls. I have one small area left to do, but - man. It looks amazing and it was really hard work.
I used TSP, SUPER hot water, a scrub brush and a microfiber cloth.
Here are the before-and-afters so far:

Here is the wallpaper I'm using and a tile.

Okay. This next picture is a little shocking. I got some p*rn in the mail yesterday.
Totally unsolicited.
I feel so dirty, but I can't stop looking at it! I'm going to hide it from Noodle and Zuddy because I don't want them seeing it. I'll only take it out and look at it when I'm alone.
Please don't judge me. It's not like I bought it or anything.

Catch Up....
I have the week off from work.
I like having the week off from work.
I'm going to use this time tocatch up on blogs, celebrity gossip and nap work on the kitchen.
I've already finished removing ALL of the wallpaper. Zuddy is starting to patch all of the holes in the walls. Then I will need to sand the walls.
It will be messy.
I don't like messy.
Wish me luck.
And perseverance.
And the ability to focus.
Especially the ability to focus.

Seattle, Baybee!
So - guess where I went??
Ummm, if you're thinking, "Hoboken", you'd be dead wrong, people.......
C'MON! Seattle! I went to Seattle!
Oh my gosh....I LOVE Seattle!! You know why?
The people.
Specifically, HER:
Look! It's Cutzi, from Moon With A View! I heart her!
And.....Look! It's Michelle! The girl who needs to get a blog (oddly enough, she's actually my niece. And even more oddly I've only met her a few times....long story.)

Aren't they adorable?
We wanted to meet with Lisa from The Coastal Nest, but she couldn't make it - it was a "school night" and all, plus it would've been a long, time-sucking drive for her.....
But these two? I didn't want to leave them at the end of the evening.
Cutzi and Michelle made plans to go to a yarn store (Is that right, girls?) before meeting me. Well.....they never made it. I think they had too much to talk about. We finally met up in the evening for dinner.
This whole meeting was at the beginning of February. I've been a little worn out since the trip...and I just can't seem to articulate how I feel well enough to write it down in a blog entry.
So I'm just gonna say this:
I'm in love. I could have talked to these two all night.
How can I feel such a connection to someone I've never before met in real life (or - in Michelle's case only met a couple of times) ?
I don't know the answer to that. All I can say is that I can't wait to go back.
Thanks for the evening, girls! Can we do it again??
Happy Valentines Day to all of my friends - especially my bloggy buddies!!!
