I Like It

I want these:

For my dining room.  I'd swipe some silver paint over them, though.  They're 41 inches high.

Remember how I went through a miniature fascination faze?

I feel the same way about big things.

There used to be a store at a nearby mall that sold oversized items.  When Zuddy and I were dating, he'd take me there to look around.  I still want some of that stuff.

Wouldn't one of these paper clips be cute in an office?

And really.....who doesn't need a giant pair of scissors?

You know - just in case you need to cut a big ribbon.

And how about for the kitchen?

Look at this!

Or how about one of these?

Ha haaaa!!!

House Tour!!

Well....since my dear bloggy friend Sarah has missed my house tours?

BAM!

Look at this cute dining room!

And I'd love to tell you all about the house that this adorable dining room belongs to?

But.....trust me: You can't handle the truth.

Oh, fine.....you caught me.  It is I that can't handle the truth.

I saw how much it cost and I curled up the fetal position and sucked my thumb.  For three days.

Here's the living room.  I love the creamy soothing colors and the drapes.

And the fact that it looks like nobody lives here.

Another shot of the living room looking into the family room/kitchen area:

Oooooo!  And the kitchen...Do you love it?

Boy, that empty picture frame really adds some warmth, doesn't it?

The master bedroom.

Another bedroom:

Holy marble bathroom, batman!

Seriously ......

.....I can't make this stuff up.

Remember that little neighborhood newspaper I was talking about here?  It's the one with the funny Police Calls To Service section?

Well, here's another goodie:

Suspicious Activity

     - A resident on the XXX block of of Bernard Street East called Police Feb. 3rd because a neighbor was baking brownies that just didn't smell right.  The caller claimed it was difficult to breathe due to the smell.

House Tour!!

Oh,Girls.

I've been wanting to post this sweet little Dutch colonial for some time.
I love her.
I want her.
I think she wants me too!
Did you see that?  Gasp!  She winked at me!

You missed it.  Maybe she'll do it again.
Anyhoo......here's the front of her.

She's in a great neighborhood .

She was built in 1923, has 2,154 square feet of living space (all of it cute). And she has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Here's the downer:  She's 390k.
The tramp.

I still love her.

Here's the entry way (seen from the living room):

Here's another view of the 23x12 living room:

Here's another view of the living room...they must have painted a more neutral color because it wasn't selling (it's been on the market a while):

Just off the living room is a 12x9 sun room:

Here are a couple of dining room (13x12) views:

The kitchen (11x8) is just off the dining room:

Here are the Bathrooms.  This one is upstairs with the Bedrooms:

This one is in the basement:

Here are 2 of the 3 bedrooms:

If this one doesn't scream "I'VE BEEN STAGED!!!!!"  I don't know what does.

Here's the back yard:

Do you like her?

Your Authentic Self

I was walking through the maze of buildings that make up my workplace the other day when I saw a bunch of fliers posted about "being your Authentic Self".  Apparently there was a lunch time seminar on finding and being your Authentic Self.

Which sounds like a good thing.

Until I started about thinking how my Authentic Self wouldn't be going to my car after working nonstop without taking a lunch break.
And my Authentic Self wouldn't drive home obeying (almost) all the rules of the road and refrain from flipping off the stupid drivers.
When my Authentic self got home she sure as hell wouldn't make a colorful salad to go with dinner.
And make her kid eat some of it.
Actually, I'm pretty sure my authentic self wouldn't even make dinner.
Nope.
My Authentic Self would have a chili cheese burrito from Taco Bell.
After a day of reading blogs and watching a pile of movies from Netflix and eating cheesy poufs.

What would your Authentic Self be doing right now?
