Creepy Pete

Okay, you can REALLY tell I have nothing to say.

So I'm going to talk about Creepy Pete.

Who is Creepy Pete, you ask? Well he (or she) is not just one person. Creepy Pete is a Zuddy-ism for anyone with a creepy look or demeanor. So when Zuddy talks about "Creepy Pete" it could be anyone.

Anyone at all.

Last night Zuddy went out to run a couple of errands. I asked him to go to our neighborhood grocery store and buy some waffles for the Noodle. When he came back from the store he said he ran into "Creepy Pete" at the store. I instantly knew who he was talking about: our neighbor. Let's call him "Thompson".

So I say, "Who? Thompson?"
Zuddy, "Yep."
Pause
Then we both start laughing. Because I know him sooooo freaking well that I always know specifically who he's talking about, even when he's using a Zuddyism.

That, my friends, is the beauty of a close personal connection with another human being, isn't it?

Do you have any "isms" at your house?

That is hilarious! I can't think of any ism's, but my husband sometimes speaks in what he calls "Polanics"...ha ha!

Kris and I don't have any "isms" that I can think of, but I grew up in house full of ism-ish language. When my Dad gets in goofy moods, my Mom, sister, and I are the only ones who could ever possibly understand what he's saying. I owe any amount of sanity that I have as an adult to growing up in a house in which silliness was not just tolerated but expected.

Thats really funny! Its like how I call girls who try to steal your boyfriend "a Becky"

But just like you use Creepy Pete, I just call them Burly. Burly generally means a big guy but we mean creepy person who might have lecherous intentions with you.

Hmmm. Yea. We use the term "nugget" for a women who is dressed, well, "inappropriately suggestive" if you will.

Typically you see a lotta "nuggets" in the summer.

We do have a few, but they might not be politically correct enough for me to write down.

I do love that thing about being with someone for so long that lets you know right away what they are thinking, before they even speak!
