Plans.....

The wallpaper - close-up:

Possibilities for window coverings:

Smith and Noble

Not sure when we'll be able to do the floors, so I'm thinking about a rug to cover it all up for a bit.

This one is polypropolene from Dash and Albert. You can just take it outside and hose it off when it gets dirty!

Wish I could say the same for my Zuddy.....

Thanks for the wallpaper close-up. I remember when you were choosing it but couldn't remember if I ever knew which one you settled on.

I like both shades but I think would lean toward the lighter. And what a cool rug!

That was a very boring comment I just left..

A rug! That you can take outside and hose off! HOSE OFF!!! Oh ho ho ho man oh man. My life is complete. I need a house-full of dem things. My 30lb feral felines purge more than an entire high school full of girls in the '80's.

The wallpaper is so pretty!!!

IS IT ANY WONDER MEN DON'T UNDERSTAND WOMEN? THAT SURE SOUNDED LIKE AN INVITATION TO ME. LAST TIME I TOOK A LITTLE "FLOWER SHOWER" IN THE BACK YARD IT WAS ALL LIKE "WHAT THE HELL" AND "GET INSIDE YOU FREAK"- THE NEIGHBORS ARE GONNA MOVE. WELL I ASKED JEFF, AND HE WAS ALL O.K. WITH IT. HEY- HOW BOUT WE GET ONE OF THOSE INFLATABLE PIRATE SHIPS WITH THE WATER JETS- I'D BE LIKE CAPN JACK ALL UP IN THE BACK YARD. YEA.

The Ballard paper is gorgeous!!! I need to go to that website for some inspiration. This comment may be boring too but my excuse is that I used up all my excitement in my first grade classroom today plus it'd Monday.

Love the wallpaper! Smith + Noble = pricey. I found bamboo roller shades really reasonable here http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Nantucket-Bamboo-Roman-Shades-35-in.-x-72-in./3140185/product.html

Love the wallpaper, and I tend to like plain white shades, but that's just me. I could totally see the bamboo-ish ones with that paper, though.

I wish my whole house was hose-off-able. Wouldn't that be sweet?

Well, as I was reading this, my first thought for the comment was "what, are you saying taking the hubby out in the backyard and hosing him off is WRONG?!"

But then Zuddy had to go and be all... Zuddy-like

And now I can't make my original comment. Hrrrumph.

So, I will leave it with ..... I like the first set of blinds best.

Oh Cutz...no comment is boring - especially coming from you :)

Suzy. Holy crap. I peed my pants when I read yours...then I went and purged my lunch.

I love my Zuddy. Makes me laugh everytime.

Mrs. Wacky? Ha haaaa!

Don't worry, Jilly...I won't buy the blinds or shades there. Plus, I'm still deciding...the greasy kitchen dirt is a huge thing. Plus, they're expensive, so I'l put off buying window stuff as long as possible :)

You should know that I left you an incredibly witty and insightful comment yesterday, and it didn't post! I can't even begin to tell you what a great comment it was. I'll never be able to recapture the spirit of that comment, so I'll just say that I love the rug, and I think the bamboo shades would look gorgeous with it. And now a moment of silence for my unborn comment.
