House Tour!

Wow. It's been a while, huh? I'm not a very good blogger, am I?

Well, I'm going to try and make it up to you with this adorable little Cape cottage. I know we've already covered the fact that I don't show you anything bigger or more fabulous, but I like the cottagey-type houses. It's my way.

So. This one has a back yard that runs right into my Alma Mater, The College of St. Catherine: the bestest place in the world.

Anyhoo.....while it's on a busy street? It's a great location. The price is a bit steep. $400-something thousand. I'd love to tell you exactly, but you see, I started this post on the weekend and since then, the house has been removed from the website.

Dammit.

But it's been for sale forever. The real sadness is that I have a link to the website at the end of this post where they had many more fabulous photos of this house. Especially the back of the house with a stone deck and pergola. Which is what I want here at Elizabeth-freakin'-Hill. But since I never printed out a picture, how will I remember??? Huh??? Answer me that!! Oh. And the link probably won't work, either. But I'm leaving it in there....just in case.

Alright. Here is the adorable outside. I can't remember how many bedrooms and bathrooms. Probably 4 beds and 2 baths....something like that.
Oooooo! An aerial view. Special!

Sweet-Mary-Mother-Of-God. Look at that adorable sun room, will ya?

The dining room.

The living room. I love how you can look straight through to the back of the house through the sun room.

The sweet little kitchen. Hello?? Where is the dishwasher?? Hellooooo??? Dishwasher? Humph.
SweetJESUS! Look at that adorable bathroom!!!! Elizabeth Hill had plans all drawn out for one just like it. The problem is, the plumbing wouldn't have worked out and the plans were drawn by the previous owners who didn't know what the heck they were doing. So? No bathroom upstairs.

So that's it. Cute, right?
And here's that precarious link I was telling you about:

To see the rest of the photos, go here.
Next time? We will discuss my furniture painting situation. It's not pretty, people. Not pretty at all.

No, you're not a terrible blogger at all! And who needs bigger or more fabulous than this house?! (Well, I guess being a Craftsman would make it more fabulous in my book, but nobody asked me, so I'm not saying anything.)

The link worked! And that stone deck is adorable, so you'd better print a photo out while you can!

Oh my, I love that house! I still cannot get over how low prop. taxes are in your area compare with here. Our house is worth about half of what listing on that one, and our taxes are nearly $800 more. Thank you Wisconsin! GRRR!

Aww dudes.

There WAS a little supplimental 360degree tour/extra photo section icon, but it's gone.
Sorry babies.
Because it had photos of the pergola, office, bedrooms, etc. It was amazing. Especially the pergola. So perfect with stone pillars and an amazing stone deck.
Sigh. So sad.

What a cute house; I love all the rooms shown (too bad about the others being"lost"). It amazes me that you get to count square footage in the basement...we are strictly above ground people around here. S.F. in a finished basement is disclosed but is appraised at a much lower value. Aren't I just a font of knowledge? Doesn't do me much good with NO clients!

I like it! I think it's overpriced, and I'm not crazy about that teensy shower in the upstairs bath, but I like the downstairs! Love the dining room. The kitchen looks fine to me - I don't have a dishwasher now, either. By the time I get one, the kids will be moved out and all our dishes will fit in a dishwasher drawer the size of a microwave.

Hey, the link worked for me. So maybe it's back on their website...

Anyway. The fence! I love it. The kitchen! Love that, too. Really just love everything about this little place. But the sunroom? Now, that is the sunroom I want to add onto my home. So you can't ever stop blogging, or remove these pictures from your blog, because I need to have a reference for that sunroom.

I suppose I could just print it out (thinking aloud here) but still, you should keep blogging, because I do enjoy you so.

And if this isn't the most fragmented comment ever, I don't know what is.

Happy 4th o' July!

That house is adorable! I would like their decorator to visit my house, too.

Can't wait to hear about the furniture!

Oooh Good Choice! Love the sun room. This house is surprisingly big, 2500 SF, it looks much smaller from the outside.

so pretty! i say you give it a few weeks, then knock politely on the door, welcome the new inhabitants, rave about their lovely home, and insist on photographing their patio and pergola! good luck.
