Things

I don't have much to say right now....but I've been up since 2:30 am and what's a girl to do??
Blog, that's what!

So, what's been happenin' here at Elizabeth Hill?

  • The Noodle has the day off from school today (and tomorrow).
  • We are making a cake together. Chocolate. With Chocolate frosting.
  • We will hang with Franklin in the A.M.
  • It's Schmakie's birthday and we need to get him a present.
  • My friend Peg's birthday, too. I think I should probably send her the gift I got for her LAST YEAR!!! Happy Birthday, Peg!
  • Kirsten's Birthday on the 25th.
  • I watched the Matt Lauer interview with Larry Craig the other day. I don't know why.....I guess it was like a TRAIN WRECK and I couldn't tear my eyes away. Did you know he has a wide stance?
  • Politicians give me the heebie-jeebies.
  • I made a big dinner last night: Parmesan Chicken, homemade scalloped potatoes with garlic and fontina, green beans, salad.
  • Whoever makes the dinner in our house is exempt from doing the dishes.
  • I figure a few more dinners like the one we had last night, and zuddy will buy me this:

  • I skipped a meeting last night.
  • I always skip events in the evening. I'm a morning person.
  • My brother Joe dropped Sweet Angel off at Elizabeth Hill while he did an errand. I can't take my eyes off of her gorgeous face. And her hair!

It's been rainy here. So I can't hang my sheets on the clothes line.

  • I'm making Roasted Tomato Basil Soup today. I need to use up all of my Basil before it freezes here.
  • I'm going to go on the sofa now and snooze until the Noodle wakes me.
  • I'm going on the sofa because Zuddy is doing his "slow leak" snore: "Pssssssssssssssss"

Ugh. I was up from 1-4 am the other night I should have blogged. Instead I worked on a meeting agenda. Sounds so official but really, it's not. Just Jazzercise.

I like your list. Now I'm craving soup. I think I'll make spicy potato today. It's stormy here in the PNW.

Hope you got some sleep!

I was up at 2:30 this morning too! I definitely am in the mood for soup (if only it would get cooler out!). By the way, I awarded you the You Make Me Smile award over at my cozyegg blog.

Ok,
1. Why are you up at 2:30 am?
2. I wish I could cook like you.
3. I need to open a new browser window and look at your list again because I'm getting old and even omega 3 pills don't help my memory . . .
4. Oh yeah, I just love Franklin.
5. It's birthday week here too (what a surprise!!!!!!!). Kid #2 is celebrating on Saturday.
6. When I was a kid, the cook was exempt from dishes too. That's why it pisses me off when my husband eats and then leaves his dirty dish on the table. GRRRRRR.
7. There is something else that might help you get that dishwasher, and it ain't cookin'.
8. I had you pegged for a night person.
9. This list does not correspond to your list, in case you are confused about why they don't match up.
10. I hosted bunco tonight, and unintentionally made really strong cosmopolitans. And drank a couple.

Good night friend (I'm actually a night owl. Most of my posts are after 12).

Oh yea, I been sleepin' on the sofa lately too. For the same reason. Is it fair that *we* have to sleep on the sofa because *they* are snoring?

We would ask you what you were doing up at 2:30 am blogging, but we know only too well -however, those sleepless nights do sometimes end up with fun posts like this one!

blessings,

Cutzi! My new best friend! How cool is it that you own a jazzercise studio?! Do you love it? How often do you teach? Ooooo, I'd LOVE to live in your neck of the woods :)

Michelle,
Hey thanks for that award! You make me smile too! You are so talented with all of that stitching you are doing...and if I lived in Texas, there would be no cooking. Ever.

Kim, c'mon over, sistah!

Heather, What kind of birthday extravaganza are you planning for kid #2? I love to hear about your parties. You should be a party planner (well, you are. But I mean you should get PAID to do it.)
Are you saying I need to keep up with the laundry in order to get my dishwasher??? I HAVE been, but that doesn't seem to be working, either!

Ooooo! and 2 new friends! Hello, and I'll check out your blogs, too!

Mrs. Jones!!!

I JUST got it!!!! I wasn't cooking for Zuddy to make him love me!!! I was PUNISHING him with a TON of dishes from the big dinner I made!!!!!! After washing 4 sinkfuls I was hoping he'd shell out for the dishwasher!!!

You make me laugh girl! I was talking about something all men love, and if they don't get it enough, when they do get it they will be really, really nice. Do you know what I'm talking about nowwwwwww?

I have thought about being a party planner, but I love designing the parties and do not like dealing with the people and the actual event. So I had this thought recently about being paid to do a party setup, but just not do the actual party. The spa party, for example, they could use my supplies (a set of robes and the pedicure tubs) and decorations/activities and have a script for the party. It saves them money but I really don't have to anything other than drop the stuff off. Is this a stupid idea? Tell me the truth. I've been pondering it for a while.

Thanks buddy!

Ooooo! I think that is TOTALLY a great business idea! You'd still be planning the party (the idea is half the battle) But then just drop everything off and VIOLA!! How cool is that?

I have a business idea, too, but I'm just in the thinking stages at this time. I don't know if could work yet. Email me, and I'll tell ya about it.

I forgot to comment on your cosmopolitans!!!! Yummy! I've never played bunco, but I always hear about people having bunco parties! I think it would be an excellent excuse to drink strong drinks:)
You know what I've been making lately? Peach Absolut Vodka, Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice, Triple Sec and Cranberry Juice. Yummy. Kind of a peachy cosmo. I've gotta have mine weak because I don't love the taste of alcohol. Plus I tell wild stories from my college days. Just ask my girlfriends......

I drink wine here and there, but don't care for drinking too much at all. So those cosmos were way too much for me. The next morning I woke up and wondered what kind of comment I posted on your blog (I wasn't out of control or anything, but they did really go to my head). I was happy to see that the post, other than the mention of cosmos, turned out to be one I would write completely sober.
