Things......

1. It was my bloggiversary on the first of March! I can't believe it....2 years!

2. I started this blog solely for the purpose of before and after shots of my kitchen.

3. I'm still not finished.

4. Instead? I've made so many friends....people that I truly love. You know who you are. You are now my personal friends - not just my bloggy friends. My blog has changed to be a form of communication with my blog buddies.

5. One of those people I love just started a blog. I think you should go visit: It's Dawnie and she is now known as Mrs. Wacky. Such an artist! Who knew? Go over to her place and look at what she's done with her Ikea tables!

6. When I went to Seattle last month and met with Cutzi and Michelle (get a blog Michelle), we were talking about our blog addictions. The girls gently yet firmly told me it was time to manage my blogs on a reader.

So I did it yesterday.

It took me an embarassingly long time to finish setting up.

Because I had a lot of blogs that I visit in my favorites, but not all of them. Some of them were on my blogroll, but a lot of them were not. Some of them I still had to get to by going to the original blog I found them on.

What a mess.

Now they are all residing, neat and tidy, in my Google Reader.
Thanks girls! Your intervention worked!

7. I totally fell off the exercise wagon. I'm getting back on it today.

8. I'm meeting the girls for coffee this morning. I can't wait.

9. I did something last week that needed to be done for a long time.

I got my wedding ring cut off of my oozing, swollen finger.

I've always been able to coax it off of my hand with the help of lotion or Aquaphor, but it was so irritated and swollen this time that I had to take the ultimate drastic measure.

Weeellll, maybe not the ULTIMATE drastic measure.....I think THAT would be lopping off my finger. -- No, I just got THE RING cut off.

I had to laugh when I was at the jewelry store waiting for them to help me.

You know why?

Because it just happened to be our Anniversary 1 or 2 days later (We got married on leap day, so
technically, we didn't have an anniversary this year).

HA! 13 lucky years of marraige and I forcefully got my ring cut off. Is that a sad statement, or what?

10. This post is boring me to tears.

11. I'm looking for a house tour for you all. What do you want - fabulous or realistic?

Happy blogiversary!!
I have to say, that is one wonky word...
I, for one, am very happy you still have your blog, and its purpose is perfect! I little decorating and a little Martha - what more could a girl ask for?!

Oh, and I'd like to see realistic. I'm a practical girl...

Great job on the reader Martz!!

I like realistic too. You know, something that I could actually buy....someday. A little bit of dreaming is ok.

And Sam's sounds like a great date to me. Justin and I always go together. But usually we have the tots in tow. They love it there too.

Have a great time with the girls this morning!

2 years, thats quite a feat~ I can only hope that you get that kitchen finished before we are in our late 70s and can still see the screen alright to clap and woot about it! -kidding fartster..

#4-yep..YOU TOO-- know who you are, and I love ya, too.. (hopefully Im one of the ones your speaking of)
Im going to go see mrs whacky just as soon as I leave here..

#6 please dont keep reminding me of number 6, no fair!!

Please, now tell your dear friend about what a reader is..embarassing, I know. Sounds like I need one, What is embarassing is going to certain blogs and entering some of your faves that way, sometimes things change and I get all messed up and turned around like an old woman in the confusion unit of the hospital..
Butter BUTTER didnt get that ring off? Thats my secret source..
Have fun with the coffee gals! I wish I could come, tell them all I said hello!
I love the leap ear wedding, your so frickin frackin funny, girl..
THIS is why I love you soooo!

Happy sunday..

Yay for Google Reader - it's upped my regular blog reading by 3 or 4 times! :)

I vote for a practical tour. Ideas for things we might actually be able to pull off in our own home or a home that we may actually one day be able to afford.

Aw... I'm sorry your post bored you to tears, it kept me on my toes for sure.

Thank you thank you thank you for mentioning my blog and my tables. You are true, my friend.

Happy Bloganniversary.... 2 years. I think I have been reading you the entire time. You have always made me smile, and look forward to more posts.

I could not live without Google reader... and now I have it on my phone too, whew. I'm a little addicted ;) Glad you made the leap... you will never look back!

I kicked the exercise wagon in the shins a few weeks ago, and its so mad at me now, it won't LET me back in. Hrrmph.

Happy Blogiversary and Anniversary! And way to break down and go with the reader. You'll love it.

I'm voting for realistic.

Congrats on two bloggy years! I guess I need to investigate Google Reader. My "blogs-I-follow" list is becoming unmanageable.

You know, I don't even wear my wedding ring because it gave me a chappy rash after the first six months or so. So I'm a worse wife than you. ;-)

Vaseline always works for me. (there are SO many avenues I could go with that, but I'm mature, so I won't)

Happy 13 years! And blogiversary!

I love coming here and reading your stuff. Thanks Martha!

I'm interested in the Reader option you talked about. How do I learn more about that? I tried to Google it, but didn't find what I wanted

Happy Blogoversary! And I vote for realistically fabulous.

NOT a boring post, first of all.

I need to do the Google Reader thing, too. It appears you are reading my mind...

Happy Blogoversary.

I suppose it would be greedy to ask for both kinds of tours?

Sorry about your ring. I'm sure your finger is already feeling better now.

And speaking of exercise...I should probably go do that.
