Nesting Like Crazy.....

Oh, I've got it bad.

I just want to
buy things.

Like the house where this living room resides:

I WANT IT.

If this photo isn't a good argument for painting my woodwork white? I don't know what is.

And all of these pillows from Pottery Barn:

To go on my newly slipcovered furniture that my Mom is completing even as we speak!! Yay Mom!

And these from Horchow.....but I'd need to sell my child to get the money for them:

.....which is fine because she's getting sassy and heading into those volatile teenage years.

And then I'd need to sell my house and live under a bridge to acquire this planter from Horchow:

It's $1800 dollars. It includes the plant stand, which I don't want.....too cumbersome to move from bridge to bridge in my shopping cart. If I'm lucky enough to acquire a cart.

If I decide to forgo the pillows and plant from Horchow, I'm definitely going to install this pergola:

With one of these:

Somebody help me.

Not a fan of the planter, but I will certainly take everything else, including the house. On second thought I think the "missing window" over the fireplace would annoy me at some point, so maybe I will pass and just save mucho dinero for the PB pillows. The needlepoint ones are pretty pricey, huh??

Hey!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that house!
That pergola, to die for...
That sassiness..have one here too.
That nesting feeling, I think it comes along with looking at the 6 inches of dust on my piano from a rocking great summer..I kinda cant wait for the kids to get going back, mama needs to clean and fluff...and do a little QUIET rededecorating!!

I hope that $1800 also includes the actual plant.

I love the house, the pergola, and the outdoor fireplaces. I'm still frantically trying to enjoy the last bits of summer, but in a few weeks I'll start wanting to settle in for the fall.

Oh, heck, I can't stop you, now I want it all too. And you should definitely paint your woodwork white. I bought new throw pillows for my family room sofa at Penneys and it's stupid how happy they make me. And we were just talking about laying pavers where we have the big above-ground pool in the backyard, since it's already level and has sand base and all. And now that I see the fireplace that would make so much SENSE! Get thee behind me Satan, and all that...

Ooooh - I desperately want an outdoor fireplace! Aren't they great? Too bad I'm already drowning in home improvement projects as it is!

Ann, the actual plant IS included. Doesn't that just make it SO much more worth it?

Thirkel? You get me, don'tchya girl?

Janet. Yes. The Dang needlepoint ones ARE pricey. You're right - I may have to pull the offer I made on that house.

Mart,
We are going to jump off cliffs on Monday. Be there or be square. Also I'm going to eat a super fantastic hamburger, you don't want to miss it. My treat.

You wanted kitchen photos, you got it. Check me out.

Oh yeah, your post...........we should start doing needlepoint or better yet.......

You know how people always work on needlework things and never do anything with them? When they die and their grieving family has an estate sale you can often get boxes of that stuff. I once got a box of 12 needlepoint roses that the dearly departed intended to put on her dining room chair seats. They are about 6-inch roses on an ecru linen ground. I have them stretched on canvas stretchers and hanging on a wall, but they'd make sweet pillows. We could even make those........I love to go dumpster diving the day after an auction........that's where the vintage fabrics often end up.

I went to a housewarming party this weekend in mpls. I have a major case of house envy right now and then you just rub salt in my wounds with that fireplace.

Thanks for helping me out yesterday with the chicken stock recipe...it was smooth sailing.

Oh, one more thing...what is this cliff jumping MJ is talking about. Is that like bridge jumping at D's cabin? You MUST post about this!

Oh man, these photos are awesome. I love that fireplace and pergola. How nice would it be sitting outside on a cool fall evening in front of a fire, roasting some marshmallows and drinking a glass of wine....ah!

And don't even get me started on Horchow - love that place but don't ever see myself being able to afford to shop there;o)
